***The Howard University Molecular Imaging Laboratory has a Postdoc/Research Associate imaging scientist position in MRI/MRS, PET, or Optical imaging fields.
***Current research interests of the lab include: (1) MRI/MRS studies of neonatal brain functions and injury, (2) imaging of neuronal function in traumatic brain injury, (3) molecular imaging of disease processes including cancer, cardiovascular, and sickle cell disease, and (4) development of novel drug delivery systems.
***The candidate should have a PhD degree with knowledge in at least one of the following fields: MRI/MRS, PET/CT, molecular imaging, or closely related fields. Required skills include an expert
understanding of modern MRI/MRS techniques, a working knowledge of MR-related electronics and hardware and strong interpersonal skills
2. laboratory of Dr. Nobuyuki Ishibashi through the Center for Neuroscience Research at Children’s National Health System (CNHS) in Washington, DC.
***The full-time research scientist will work on our NIH-funded project. Tools for state-of-the-art imaging together with cutting edge cellular/molecular analyses are available to
address clinically relevant questions in neurodevelopment using preclinical piglet model.
***Desired qualifications include:
- PhD, or equivalent degree in Biophysics, Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience
- Experience with preclinical MRI
